We are finally starting to feel settled here in Utah. Here is a little update, since I haven't blogged in forever! :) We moved to Utah in April and have had a crazy past few months. We bought a BRAND NEW house, which if you can't tell I am really excited about! After remodeling 2 homes it is nice to move in and have that all done, but the yard wasn't finished, so that has been our project. We finally have grass in the front and back yards, but we still have a few things we want to do. Jayce turned 2 in August and he is such a sweet boy. He is talking now and it is so nice! He has quite the little sense of humor and loves to tease everyone! He has started to take an interest in potty training so we are working on that. Corban turned 5 in September and I just can't believe how fast he is growing up! He is so smart and has wanted to learn how to read, so we are working on that. He starts Kindergarten next year and I just don't know what I am going to do! :( He is such a good little helper. He got a puppy for his birthday, which he named Bullet. Corban loves him and has been doing such a good job training and taking care of him. They are the best of friends. Garrett has been doing really well in his new job, I am so proud of him and so lucky he works so hard so I can stay home and play with my kids! As for me I have just been trying to adjust to living in a new place. I love it here, but I definately miss my parents and Matt and Sam. I do get to see Jonas and the rest of my family a lot more often though, which is nice. I think those are the highlights of the past few months, I will try to be better at posting! :)

I have been so busy these last few months! I have been meaning to post on my blog, but then something always comes up, so I thought I would write a little something to let everyone know what's new. I promise once I am not so busy I will post some pics of the kids! :) Anyways, the reason it has been so busy is because we are moving back to UTAH!!! We are excited. Garrett starts work on March 1st and I will be in Pennsylvania for awhile taking care of things here. Garrett will be working for Rio Tinto in South Jordan and we are looking for a place to live around there. It has been crazy! We will miss my parents sooooooooooo much, but have been house hunting for them also, hoping they will move with us! :) A girl can hope, right?! Anyways, that is what is new here, I will update on the kids soon!!

Garrett is so dumb! He has pretended to be me (if only he was that lucky). I would never write how much I love the Penguins! That is all Garrett does during hockey season and it drives me crazy! He goes to games and watches them at home. I even trained my cat to pee on his hockey jersey. :) Ok...........that was all Oreo, but I wish I could take credit. Garrett, don't mess up my blog with your stupid hockey team! You've been warned!!!

Hockey is becoming one of my favorite sports. I might add that my husband is looking pretty hot in this picture.

Trapper

Today, my sweet little puppy, Trapper passed away. It has been such a hard day! He was the best dog in the world! He was so gentle and loving. He was such a good dog and got along so well with the cats. Tiger and him were always sleeping together. She will definately be a lost soul without him. He was so friendly and nice, but if you were not supposed to be in his yard he was ferocious! A couple years ago my mom was home alone with Corban and she heard Trapper barking a mean bark and then she heard an animal screaming...anyways, Trapper cornered something under the deck and when we got home he was there to greet us just wagging his tail. Garrett checked out to see what was under the deck and it was the biggest raccoon ever! Trapper had snapped it's neck and killed it. There was no way he was going to let anything hurt his little Corban. He used to go everywhere with us and especially loved Lake Powell. We would jump off rocks into the lake and he would come after us thinking we were drowning. I have so many special memories with him and will miss him, but I am very thankful I had 15 years to spend with him!!!

Garrett's New Project

The boys, my mom and me went to Utah for a couple of weeks. While we were gone, Garrett decided to start a new project...ALL BY HIMSELF!! We have needed a carport to cover our boat, so Garrett decided to build one while we were in Utah. I was gone for a little over 2 weeks and my AMAZING husband did this alone. I don't know how he did it, but it is awesome! Well, I guess I can't give him all the credit I heard that the cats were there trying to help, but kept getting under his feet and trying to trip him. He sure is picky with his help. :)

I had just finished cleaning my house and while I was putting the vacuum away and putting in a load of laundry my boys decided to do this! There was a picture frame in this box that I have never used and behind it was some styrofoam to protect it. Anyways, Corban discovered that if he tore the styrofoam apart it made Jayce laugh. I came up to find this mess. I grabbed the camera instead of beating them. :)

Happy 4th Birthday Corban!!!

I can't believe my baby is 4!! Corban turned 4 on September 2nd. We had a week long celebration and more parties planned in Utah for him. Saturday, the 29th he had his friend party, but he kept calling it his "fake" birthday. The party was hunting themed, of course! He had such a good time. On his "real" birthday we had just a family party with me, Garrett, Jayce, Grandpa Hyita and Grandma Hyita. We started with breakfast, which was his favorite, blueberry "muppins" and we had lunch and a gourmet dinner of his favorite, hot dogs and mac & cheese. He got so many gifts it was like Christmas, he got so many hunting gifts. I think he is set up to bow hunt better than Garrett! :) This past labor day weekend we took him to Splash Lagoon, an indoor water park in Erie, PA, and they had a cake waiting for him in our hotel room. So, he had a great celebration! He is such a joy in our lives! He is so smart and I can't believe how fast time has gone by. We love you Corban!!!

Garrett finished his Master's Degree on Tuesday! We are so proud of him and I am really excited to have him back! :) He did night classes and I swear every night he was at class something freaked me out at the house. :) I hate to be home alone. Also, the same day Garrett got a new job promotion. He is now Senior Analyst of Corporate Strategy. (I think that's his title) :) Congrats again Garrett!!!

My baby turned 1 on Saturday, August 8th. We had a family party for him and he loved it! Grandma Hyita made him a dinosaur cake. He was so funny, he destroyed it. He even put his bum in it! :) Corban sat next to him and ate the cake that Jayce would throw to him. I can't believe how fast this year has gone by. He is such a joy in our lives!

We went to the Alexander Lodge in Virginia this past weekend. It was so much fun! Corban loved it! He caught fish, salamandors, frogs and a few snapping turtles! We heard the bears, but only Matt, Sam and her little brother saw them. Corban was disappointed. We have so much fun there! It is so nice to be there with my whole family! It's become a yearly tradition and we love it!

Jayce fell asleep on both of his grandpas just watching everyone! He must have been really comfortable because he won't do that with me! Gary and Tricia came out for a visit in May to watch Garrett graduate with his Masters degree! We had such a good time with them and we wished they could have stayed longer. Corban and Jayce love all their grandparents so much and are very lucky little boys to have such great grandparents!

Corban is almost 4 years old!! Time goes by so fast! He is so much fun to have around and keeps me laughing all day! He is such a good helper and Jayce absolutely adores him! He had his first dentist appointment last month and he did so well. He didn't even cry. Such a brave little boy! He loves to swim and will swim by himself (with his life jacket of course) in our pool and in the river when we take the boat out. He has even been asking Garrett if he can wakeboard, but I'm still too nervous to let him. He has no fear! We love him so much!

Here is a little update on Jayce. He is now 10 months old! He is crawling everywhere and up my stairs! He can stand by himself for a second, but usually just stands holding on to something with one hand. He is into everything! He is always unloading my cupboards and drawers in the kitchen. It's his favorite thing to do! He loves grilled cheese sandwiches and everything else you put in front of him. He is so sweet and fun!

So, tonight I am cuddled up with my little Corban watching cartoons and a barbie commercial comes on. I tease him and ask him if he wants a barbie and he says, "no, mom I'm a boy!" I said how do you know? He then tells me "because I fart, boys always fart." He's so silly! He makes me laugh all day!

Grandma "Ranch's" Cowboy Cookies

Corban wanted to make cookies last night so we got out the Branch recipe book and I asked him what kind of cookies he wanted to make. I read him a few choices and he decided on Cowboy Cookies because he's a cowboy. I told him that this was Grandma Branch's recipe and he had me explain that. I told him that she made it up and wrote down what we were supposed to do in the book. So, we go on to make the cookies and I had just creamed the butter, eggs, and sugar and was about to add the flour when Corban got serious, looked at the recipe book and said "Mom!!! Grandma Ranch says always, always let your baby taste the cookies after it mixes, it says right here!" He's so cute! So, Sue you have to put that step in the recipe book because that's a step we can't forget! :)

I didn't get very many pictures of Easter. I know I'm terrible! :) We took the kids for an Easter egg hunt at church on Saturday before Easter. Corban had so many Easter egg hunts. He loved it!! We have a possum that comes to our house every night in search of food! It has been getting in my garbage and eating my cat's food (which I have been putting in at night). It is fun to watch it from our sliding glass doors, but I am worried it is going to hurt someone or my cats. Corban loves it, but I think it's time to do something about it. I really don't want to kill it, but I don't want it making it's home in a tree by my house and having it bite my kids. Any suggestions??????????

So, over the last two days Garrett has come home with little surprises for me. He brought me flowers on Tuesday and on Wednesday he made me a card. He is such a good artist and he knows I love it when he draws me pictures. He is so sweet and I love him so much! He's so good with the boys and they love their daddy so much. I am so lucky to have him as my husband.

I am finally updating! I have been so busy lately. Here is a little update on the boys.

Corban ~ He turned 3 1/2 on March 2nd. I made him a cake and he thought it was so cool. He is so smart. School is going really well for him and he loves it. He is really into animals and wildlife. He loves to watch the discovery channel and loves Survivor Man. He just got some legos and he plays with them for hours. He builds all kinds of animals and robots and can build anything you ask him to. He is in primary now and it is amazing all the things he is learning there. He loves to say the dinner prayer and blesses the bears and things like that, it's so cute! He also knows almost all the words to So What by Pink. We sing it to Garrett all the time. Ha ha. He is such a good big brother to Jayce and is always so cute with him. Jayce gets so excited when Corban walks into the room. He's such a good kid and I don't know what I'd do without him.

Jayce ~ Jayce is now 7 1/2 months old and it is amazing how fast time flies. He has been sitting up on his own for awhile now and loves it because he can play. We are trying to get him to crawl and he can get on all fours, but he then decides to roll over. He's so funny. He can say Mama, Dada and No No. He still doesn't have any teeth. We are waiting for that to come. Corban had 2 when he was 4 months old. It's funny how different they are. Jayce is such a good little eater and loves to eat everything in sight. He can feed himself any finger food I put in front of him and he'll even share. He is so sweet and loves to be held. He growls when he gets mad and it's so funny. We love having him in our family and can't imagine life without him.

My brother, Matt, got engaged to Samantha on his birthday, March 15th. She was in Utah visiting him for spring break. I am so excited for them! She is so cute and fun and I am excited to have her in our family. They are so perfect for each other. Matt is going to the University of Utah to be a Mining Engineer and Sam is going to West Virginia University to be a Mining Engineer also. They are planning to get married next summer sometime.

We went to Utah again in February for my Aunt Laurie's and my mother-in-law, Tricia's 50th surprise birthday parties. We stayed for 2 weeks and had so much fun, but it went by so fast. I have posted a few pictures of our trip.

Garrett has class tonight so on days like this me and the kids do whatever we want for dinner. Tonight we had waffles (Corban's choice) so I thought I would give some to Jayce for his dinner. He has been eating whatever we eat (mostly) for about a month now. He does really well with all kinds of food. I just make sure to mash it up for him. I haven't given him eggs or milk yet, but he has had foods with eggs and milk in them. He loves it and will not eat baby food anymore. I know I started him really early, but the poor kid looked so hungry and wanted to eat. Now, if only we could get Corban to eat this well. :)

Bart turns 50!!!

My Daddy turned 50 on December 26th. We had a family party at home like we do every year on his birthday and then the next day we told him that we wanted to go to dinner at the country club. It was so hard to get him there because he didn't want to go out. When he finally got there we had a surprise party waiting for him. We all had a really good time and we really did surprise him, which is very hard to do. I just hope that when I'm 50 I look as good as he does.

The Utes won the Sugar Bowl! Garrett, my Dad, and my brother Jonas went to the game in New Orleans and had an awesome time. They were right on the 50 yard line. Me and my mom stayed home and watched the game on tv. I usually don't watch much football, but I really enjoyed the game. It was really a good game. Matt got Corban this jersey for Christmas so he wore it the day of the game. He loves it and we played football together all day. The things I do for my boys! :)

I was putting Christmas decorations away and Corban wanted him and Jayce to get in the box. I even had to push them around the house in it. :)

Corban's preschool put on a really cute Christmas program. They sang songs and made their own shirts to look like Rudolph using their hands for the antlers and their foot for the nose. They were so cute and I was so proud of Corban. He did such a good job. He was funny. When they sang the song Jiggle Bells he sang the Batman version while the other kids sang the right version. He's such a little comic.

We went for a ride to see this elk at a shooting range Garrett goes to. He is the only bull with 8 cows. I don't think he's ever seen another male. He was so aggressive and if there hadn't been the double fence I'm sure he would have attacked us. He kept hitting the fence with his antlers. Corban and Jayce loved it, but Corban wouldn't take his eyes from him to smile for a picture.

For my birthday my parents gave me and the boys airline tickets to Utah. So, my mom, me, Corban and Jayce went for 6 days to Utah for Halloween. We had so much fun and it was nice for my family to see Jayce before he got too big. They were such good kids and Jayce did really well on the plane.

My mom and I took Corban to the pumpkin patch by our house. We were there only 5 minutes when Corban got stung by a bee. Poor kid. At least he's not allergic. He told us that "this is a dangerous place." After we got him settled down he still had a good time and was able to pick out some pumpkins for Halloween.

Jayce had his 2 month checkup on Oct. 9th. He weighed 12 lbs. 3 oz. and was 23 inches long! He is such a little chunk! He has doubled his weight since he's been born. Corban wanted us to undress him like Jayce. They're so cute.

Garrett got his first whitetail deer opening day of the bow hunt. He got it in the woods behind our house and was able to come home and get a wheelbarrow to get it home. (They are smaller than mule deer.) We were all really excited, especially Corban! We gave our widow neighbor the meat and she was very grateful. So was I because I didn't want it. :) He got a good shot and said it just dropped, which I was glad it didn't suffer. My little Oreo kitty followed him and sat under his tree stand the whole time and was even there when he shot the deer. He's a good cat and just loves to be around Garrett. Garrett was afraid he would scare the deer off, but he said the deer didn't even notice Oreo. I thought that was the cutest story. When he got home Corban told Garrett he was a good "hunt". I was a little afraid to let him look, but he did just fine and was really fascinated with it all. He has now been hunting bear, deer and elk and cooking it for me. He's so sweet. :)

We blessed Jayce this last Sunday. Garrett gave him a really nice blessing. Garrett's parents came out for the blessing and to see the kids. It was nice having them here.

Sue, Val, Brock, Dakota and Delaney all came to visit us for a week! They came for Corban's 3rd birthday and to see Jayce. It was so nice to have them here and it made me want to move back to Utah. Jayce arrived on Friday August 8, 2008! He has a cool birthday (08/08/08)! Easy to remember. He was born at 4:20 and weighed 6 lbs. 9 oz. and was 20 inches. He wasn't due until the 30th, but he decided to come a little early just like his big brother. He is such a good baby and we are so blessed to have him in our family. He was a really easy delivery a little less than 4 hrs. labor and only 10 min. of pushing. It's a good thing I went to the hospital in time. I was just having some backache, but I was nervous so I thought at least I would go and get checked and sure enough I was ready to have him. Corban is so in love with him and such a good big brother!

We had a fun weekend. My Uncle Jim has been working in West Virginia and he came to visit us. We went out on the boat and had a good visit with him. He is so sweet and we all love him! Corban really had a good time with his Uncle Jim.

I just had to put some pictures on here of Corban with his Grammy and Papa. He loves them so much and they are so good to him. He is so spoiled by them and he really knows how much they love him. They are always doing special little things with him and for him. So, thanks mom and dad for loving my baby so much!!

In the hot tub swimming because it's the little pool just for Corban as he would say. He asks her to do this all the time and she'll drop whatever she's doing to go with him.

Having a popsicle sword fight with Papa. They are popsicle buddies. They always share one and if they get different colors half way through his Corban will trade for Papa's.

This is for my family. I wish you guys could see their rooms in person because that would mean we would get to see you! Anyways, I think we are all ready for Jayce. I really like his room! It is nice to be ready for a baby before they're here! :) Corban's room has been done for awhile, but I thought you would like to see it. I want to do the same thing to his with the tan on bottom and blue on top. I just have to talk Garrett into another project. :)

I am going through all of Corban's baby clothes and washing them to get ready for Jayce and my little helper has been going through them with me. I have been explaining to him that these used to be his when he was a baby so he won't be so jealous that Jayce is getting a lot of clothes. Anyways, he tried these preemie baby pants on over his shorts and told me that I couldn't give them to Jayce because they still fit him. I love him so much! I don't know where he comes up with these things.

I had a fun ultrasound yesterday to see our little baby Jayce. I just had to post some pictures of him and Corban. These ultrasounds were done at 32 weeks with both boys. I think they really look a lot alike. I am so excited to see what he'll look like. The ultrasound tech did tell me that he has hair so that was cool. Corban had a ton of dark hair when he was born. She also told me that he's 4 1/2 lbs. already! Corban was 5 1/2 lbs. when he was born at 36 1/2 weeks. Jayce is a big boy! She told me if I went to term an estimated weight was 8 1/2 lbs. Yikes!!!! Let's hope he's not that big for my sake! :)

Garrett's 28th Birthday!!!

Yesterday, was Garrett's 28th Birthday. We threw a little family party for him and he got his new wakeboard for his gift. Corban was a little upset because it wasn't his birthday so we had to light the candles again on Garrett's cheesecake and sing to him. You can tell from the pictures he's upset. Don't ask me where his pants went because who only knows. I was lucky to have him this dressed. :)

Grandma and Grandpa Branch

My Grandma and Grandpa came to Pennsylvania for a visit from Utah for 2 weeks! They left yesterday and I really miss them! We had such a good time with them while they were here and it really makes me homesick for Utah and my family. Thank goodness I have my parents here. It was so much fun to visit and have them one on one. Corban really misses them and keeps asking me to go to Grandma's house to see Grandma and Grandpa "Ranch."

Corban has been watching Peter Pan and is always playing Peter Pan and Captain Hook with whoever will play with him. We were at the Disney Store the other day and we found this costume set and he just had to have it!

This is my dog Trapper. He lives at my mom and dad's. I just thought this was a cute picture because Corban loves him so much! Corban has taken Trapper over as his dog and goes to my parent's house to play with him all the time. Trapper had just gone to the groomer and I was on the phone to my mom so I told her to bring Trapper over to surprise Corban while he was in the bath tub. He was so happy as you can see he had to get out and love his dog.

We took a trip to Virginia with my family and Jonas' friend Chris. Consol owns a lodge down there with a lot of property and a pond for fishing. When Jonas and Chris were fishing they caught a huge turtle. It was really mean! All the boys posed for a picture to show off their catch.

It was so much fun down there! My dad, mom, Corban and me all went for a 4 wheeler ride and got to see a black bear up close. It was cool. It was really scared of us and took off running, but it was fun to see one in the wild! Corban is still talking about it.

I just have to write to tell everyone how proud I am of my little boy! He is completely potty trained! I have been putting it off because I didn't have the energy to do it, but then one day I decided I had to because with 2 kids I probably wouldn't have the patience. I should have started earlier because it only took him about 3 days to get the hang of it and about a week to master it. He is also waking up dry. I am just so proud of him and a little sad because he's my baby and he's growing up too fast!!

First of all, I know there are a lot of pictures, but there were so many to choose from and I can never choose just one! My parents are so great! They took my whole family including my Dad's parents to Cancun! My little brother Matt graduated from CEU with 2 associate degrees, so we needed an excuse for some fun, so thanks Matt for all your hard work! Thanks again Mom and Dad, we had a great time!!!

My Great-Grandma Bertha

My Great-Grandma Bertha passed away last night and I just wanted to post on here what a great person she was. She was always so sweet to everyone and so happy. I remember when I was living in Utah I would always see her in the grocery store and she would stop and talk to me and give both me and Corban hugs and kisses. Her face would light up when she would see us in an aisle. This picture was taken at Corban's baby shower and I thought it was so neat that she took the time to come! She was my last great-grandparent and how cool it was to be 24 and still have her around. Like I said she was just a very sweet and kind person and she will be missed!

We went to Utah for my Grandma and Grandpa's 50th Wedding Anniversary! It was so much fun! They are such a great example of how to have a great marriage! I hope me and Garrett can follow their example and make it that long! I was really glad we were there to share that with them. I am so thankful for the close relationship I have with my family. We were also there for Laney's 8th Birthday and Matt's 21st Birthday! Garrett had to work so he couldn't go with us, but we still had a blast!
